To create a fun, educational and inspiring environment for’s ten hour, 600 attendee, Partner community convention, Make, Do & Meet.


A unified community, drawing on each other to support, advise, and ultimately grow together. Visuals drew on’s craft aesthetic, using pegs, joints, and material layers as a metaphor for unity and strength.

These were the key concept terms that inspired the Peg and Joint branding that would cohesively run through every asset. Staying true to’s love of craft and colour, and teaming it with interesting flat vectors and strong lines allowed visuals to be striking, modern, versatile and welcoming.

From event design to social tactics, MD&M 2016 ensured visitors were immersed in the experience from the very first email.


the core zones

Held in The Brewery, London, the multi-room brand experience was segmented into 5 core areas:
Product Innovation / Service Management / Customer Support / Social Space / Presentation Arena


the lead up

In the lead up to the event, attendees were sent staggered emails outlining the event overview, schedule and dates, and ticket sales. A branded Eventbrite page was designed, as well as social and on-site digital graphics that would direct and engage visitors throughout the day.


a suite of onsite collateral

On arrival, all visitors were given a branded event guide that outlined all key information for the day, from presentation information to venue layout, as well as receiving individual printed assets and thoughtful giveaways throughout the day that ensured their experience stayed in their pocket, even when they ventured home.

Bespoke lanyards, staff t-shirts and a suite of presentations were all designed in event branding to unify the customer experience.

The ‘Product Pod’ featured a hero exhibit that showcased the finest products from the core category ranges. To highlight the importance of product photography for retail purposes, each product was shot in a contemporary and vibrant style, that also aligned to the event branding itself.
