Developed to support the expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and the launch of Detective Pikachu, the touring experience explored how the Pokémon universe could be brought into physical space within shopping centre environments.
Built around the proposition “A World That Awaits No Longer”, the concept positioned Pokémon as a universe that could be stepped into for real, driven by exploration, competition and discovery.
This translated into a touring activation featuring interactive environments, scavenger hunts and tactile gameplay using Pokémon TCG and Detective Pikachu assets, extending the franchise beyond the cards into a shared physical world.
1. Pre-launch awareness
Touring installation is seeded through retail messaging, competition mechanics and campaign assets.
2. Arrival & entry
Visitors enter a themed touring environment designed around exploration and discovery.
3. Scavenger hunt activation
A guided experience encourages visitors to uncover characters, clues and story-led touchpoints.
4. Trading Card discovery & competition
Hands-on interaction introduces Pokémon TCG mechanics through physical engagement. Visitors take part in gameplay moments, collecting and comparing cards through friendly competition.
5. Giveaways & rewards
Branded giveaways and prizes reinforce participation and extend the experience beyond the visit. Selected social posts are re-posted by official channels to created nationwide reach.
