Shaping a modern gifting marketplace

Role: Concept · Art Direction · Design · Creative Lead

notonthehighstreet is a multi-layered retail platform spanning brand, customer experience and partner engagement.

The work focused on shaping how the brand expressed itself across campaign, content and experiential touchpoints within a fast-moving, evolving organisation.

Across brand systems and experience design, the focus was on bringing greater clarity and consistency to how the marketplace communicated across channels and moments.

 

 

A refreshed identity direction was developed to explore how the brand could be simplified and modernised while still reflecting the diversity and personality of its sellers.

The system proposed a more flexible and expressive visual language designed to sit more confidently within the wider online gifting and marketplace space.

 
 

 

Bi-annual B2B events created to bring notonthehighstreet’s seller community together and spotlight the makers behind the platform. The experiences were designed to celebrate partners in a more personal and considered way, reinforcing the value of the community at the core of the business.

The visual approach balanced authenticity with a more contemporary brand expression, translating the platform’s craft-led ethos into a physical environment.

 

 

Art direction for seasonal product ranges, working alongside stylists and photographers to shape selected lifestyle sets across key trading moments.

My involvement focused on defining the creative direction, set design and visual storytelling for individual shoots within a wider production schedule.

The first explored a vibrant, Rio-inspired summer aesthetic, drawing on tropical colour, heat and outdoor celebration to create a lively, expressive world for the product range.

The second was developed for the brand’s “Magic is Real” Christmas campaign, reinterpreting the festive Elf collection through a playful, character-led visual approach.
